What if we Re:Thought Cross Country Running?

TL;DR – Let’s make all the cross country running distances equal for girls/women and boys/men. 6 kilometers for U20, NCAA, USports, and the NAIA; 8 kilometers for a new U23 category; and 10 kilometers for the open (or +U23) category. It’s about what’s doing best for developing athletes, it’s not thinking about this as a men’s or women’s distance. In addition, we need to rethink these spaces so that everyone feels they are welcomed into a place of trust and respect.
