Day 20 – Sliding on your bum
What’s better than heading out on a long walk up the escarpment with a human you love and the dog you love in tow? Acting like your true goofball-natured self.
I had done a really big run before Rol, Harper and I headed out to hike the escarpment. Shortly before the bottom of the switchbacks my quads no longer wanted to contract and protect myself. But before heading out I put on pants that I knew were slippery and slidey.
Walking with people you love. Being so tired that you can’t walk anymore. Watching them laugh at you as you slide down the hill pretending to that your pants are a toboggan. Laughing as you come to a stop. Nothing but joy.
